Workwear for hospitality: industrial-wash safe and recognisable — Visualprint Leidschendam

What we supply for hospitality

Aprons

Classic bar aprons, short server aprons, full aprons with neck strap. Black, white, denim or in your brand colour. With embroidered or printed logo.

Chef's jackets and trousers

White or coloured chef’s jackets with chest logo. Long or short sleeve, double-button or modern cut. For the entire kitchen team.

Polos and T-shirts for service staff

For restaurant and bar personnel. In brand colour with small chest logo — often embroidered for a high-end look.

Hoodies and sweaters

For terrace staff or casual hospitality concepts. Comfortable and recognisable.

Caps and beanies

Hygiene and recognisability in one. Embroidered logo, colour to match.

Tablecloths, napkins, tea towels

Printing is possible but often not recommended due to wash cycles. Embroidery is more durable for textiles washed daily.

Hotel staff apparel

Reception, housekeeping, room service — each role its own look, all in one brand line.

Which print technique fits best?

Industrial wash requirements

What stands up to industrial wash:
– Embroidery (excellent, no problem) – Plastisol screen printing (good, unless over reflective or special material) – High-quality DTF transfers (good for non-extreme wash cycles)

Less suitable for industrial wash:
– Sublimation on blends (slight colour shift possible) – Standard transfers (can come loose after many washes)

Hospitality textiles take heavy duty: washed daily at 60°C or higher, sometimes chlorinated, sometimes bleached. Not every print survives that.

We always advise based on your wash cycles — tell us how often and how hot you wash and we’ll choose the technique accordingly.

Tips for hospitality businesses

Embroidery is almost always the right choice.:
For aprons, polos, chef’s jackets — embroidery survives industrial wash and looks premium.

Plan for staff turnover.:
Hospitality has high personnel turnover. Keep stock in common sizes so new hires get apparel immediately.

Provide 2 sets per staff member.:
One in the wash, one in use. Prevents stress at sudden shift changes.

Differentiate roles subtly.:
Service gets apron, kitchen gets jacket, manager gets polo without apron — visually recognisable for guests.

The classic black apron works everywhere.:
Timeless, stains less visible. With embroidered logo still the standard.

Frequently asked questions

For years, with no visible loss. Embroidery is practically indestructible as long as the base textile holds up.

For regular hospitality use (40–60°C, 3–5 times a week): yes. For heavy industrial wash (90°C, daily): embroidery is safer.

Yes. We supply several chain restaurants and hotels with central order handling and uniform per-location appearance.

Printing is possible, but for textiles washed daily we recommend embroidery. For one-off events or disposables, printing works fine.

Yes. We work with organic cotton, recycled textiles and water-based, PVC-free inks. Ask specifically about sustainability options.
